Sometimes, friends go in on Lottery tickets together, splitting the cost and any prize. Such is usually the case with Boonchuay, who will often split Megabucks, Mega Millions, or Powerball tickets with her girlfriends. However, one time they all agreed to buy on their own. Boonchuay couldn’t have been more lucky — she hit the $200,000 Powerball jackpot all on her own!
She and her husband Curtis traveled from their home in Creswell to claim the prize in Salem, still in disbelief. They displayed their giant check proudly, and shared that they plan to pay off some bills, including their car loan, and then treat their pet husky, Dakota, to a nice treat!
