How To Play

A $2 Powerball ticket


A $3 Powerball ticket with Power Play
($2 Powerball ticket plus $1 for Power Play)

Pick your own numbers or say, “I’d like a Powerball Quick Pick ticket.”

If you want to choose your own numbers, simply pick up a Powerball game slip and fill it out. Give your completed Powerball game slip to your Lottery retailer, or insert it into a player-operated terminal along with money to buy your ticket.

Ticket Cost: $2


When you add Power Play (for an additional $1) and match 5 white balls, you will win $2 Million! The Power Play option also offers other multiplied prizes from $8-$500,000. If you win a cash prize on Powerball and have added Power Play, your cash prize will increase.

Claim Your Prize
All prizes may be claimed at the Lottery's Headquarters in Salem. Prizes less than $50,000 may also be claimed at the Wilsonville payment center. Prizes may be claimed in person or by mail (registered mail recommended), beginning the day following the drawing. If you choose to redeem your prize by mail, be sure your winner's claim form is completely filled out. Prizes of $600 or less may be claimed at a Lottery retailer. You have one year from the date of the drawing on your ticket to claim your prize.


If you win a Powerball jackpot, you are able to choose between a one-time cash payment or receiving 30 annual installments. This choice can be made when you come to the Lottery office to claim your prize.

Players with a winning Powerball jackpot prize ticket have the option of receiving their prize as a single payment. This choice must be made within 60 days of the date the winning ticket is validated.
