How to Play - Top

Like all Click&Play computer games, your chances of winning with Blackjack are not affected by how well you play the game.

Using standard Blackjack rules, win as many hands as you can to obtain the dealer’s golden tokens. These tokens will be placed randomly in the lottery prize trays at the bottom of the screen. If a prize tray completely fills up you win that prize, provided that your ticket validates as a winning ticket for that prize.

You can get more than one golden token in one hand! The more you wager, the more golden tokens you can obtain. Look at the dealer’s tray when you bet - the tokens that you can get on the current hand are highlighted. Doubling or splitting your hand will also increase the number of potential golden tokens in play. And of course, getting a blackjack is worth extra tokens. When the dealer’s tray is empty, keep playing – when the cards run out, you will get one last golden token!

How to Win - Top

Beat the Dealer’s hand without going over 21 and you win. When you win a hand, you get special tokens, which are placed in the prize tray at the bottom of the screen. The more you wager, the more golden tokens you can win on a single hand.

If one of the prize trays fills up completely, you win the corresponding prize.

Present your tickets to any Oregon Lottery Scratch-it retailer for validation and prize payment. For more information on how to confirm and claim a prize, please see the “Rules” section.

Goal: Beat the dealer’s hand without going over 21.

Betting: Use the betting buttons to set your betting amount and then click on the green checkmark to bet. You can click on the red X to cancel a bet, as you long as you haven’t clicked the Deal button.

The Cards: The cards are worth their numerical value. King, Queen, and Jacks are worth 10. Aces are worth one or 11. Try to reach the highest possible hand value without going over 21.

Deal: Click the Deal button to receive your cards. The dealer will give you two cards, face up, and will take two cards, one face up and one face down. After your first hand, you can click Deal without using the betting buttons. A bet of the same amount as the preceding hand will automatically be placed for you.

Blackjack: If you get 21 using your first two cards, you have a Blackjack! This hand wins automatically (unless the dealer also has a Blackjack, which results in a push) and is paid at three to one.

Hit: Click Hit to get another card.

Stand: Click Stand to let the dealer know that you’re satisfied with your hand and that you don’t want any more cards.

Double: If you click Double, you will double your bet and receive just one more card. You may only double at the beginning of the hand.

Split: If your first two cards are of equal value, you have the opportunity to split them and play them as separate hands. Keep in mind that faces are worth 10, which means that you could split a Jack and a King. A second bet (of equal value) will be added to the first.

You may only split once. When you split a pair of aces, you only receive one more card on each hand. A total of 21 on the first two cards of a split hand is NOT considered a Blackjack – and such a hand will lose to a dealer’s Blackjack.

Insurance: When the dealer’s visible card is an ace, you may take Insurance. An additional bet worth half your original one will be placed on the table. If the dealer has a Blackjack, the insurance bet is paid at two to one.

The Dealer: When you have indicated that you are satisfied with your hand, the dealer will complete his own hand using the automatic rules written down on the table. The dealer must hit up to 16 and stand when his hand reaches 17 or higher (except in the case of a soft 17, where the dealer must hit). Hand values are then compared and the highest hand wins. In the case of a tie, a Push is declared and no one wins or loses.

The Yellow Card: This special card is placed randomly at the back of the shoe. When it appears, you are allowed to finish the current hand, after which the dealer either gives you the last golden token or the shoe is shuffled.
