Every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 PM, Powerball numbers are drawn from two sets of numbers. Five white balls are drawn from one set of 59 numbered balls. One red power ball is drawn from a second set of 39 numbered balls.
Powerball jackpots start at $20 million and grow until someone wins.

Win up to $1 Million with Power Play® Multiplier
For a chance to multiply any cash prize you win from 2 to 5 times (excludes jackpot prize) and win up to $1 million, add an extra $1 for every $1 played on Powerball. Players who decide to add the Power Play multiplier option and match 5 white balls (Match 5 prize) will win $1 million* in cash, regardless of the Power Play multiplier number that is drawn.
*In extreme circumstrances, prize may be pari-mutuel.
How Power Play Multiplier Works
As part of the Powerball drawing, a Power Play multiplier will be randomly drawn. If you win a cash prize on Powerball ($3-$200,000) and have added Power Play, your cash prize will be multiplied by 2,3,4 or 5 times for that drawing depending on the Power Play Multiplier number drawn.
