Friday the 13th of September, 2013 - Salem, Ore. -

The Oregon Lottery® has a spooky new Raffle game – the Halloween RaffleSM! Similar to the Lottery’s previous 10 Raffle games, the Halloween Raffle offers players the best of odds of any Oregon Lottery game of winning $1 million!

Halloween Raffle sales began Sunday, Sept. 8. With only 250,000 tickets available, players will need to get theirs…before it’s too late.

“This will be the first time we have introduced a Halloween Raffle,” said Oregon Lottery Director Larry Niswender. “Halloween has become a popular holiday for grown-ups. In fact, it’s the second highest grossing commercial holiday after Christmas. This will be a great way for adults to add to their Halloween fun.

“Players have made it very apparent to us that they enjoy this game by helping us sell out the tickets every time we’ve had one. It’s simple to play and has great odds of winning a prize. In the world of lottery games, that’s a great combination!”

In addition to the one $1 million top prize, the Halloween Raffle game also offers these spine-tingling prizes:

- 10 prizes of $20,000
- 1,000 prizes of $100

In addition to this new Halloween Raffle, the Lottery is also introducing two other Halloween-related ways to win: a Zombies! Scratch-it and a Mystery Manor Video Lottery game.

The winning Halloween Raffle numbers will be announced on Halloween, Thurs., Oct. 31, 2013.

The Halloween Raffle replaces the Thanksgiving Raffle this year.

Since the Oregon Lottery began selling tickets on April 25, 1985, it has earned over $8 billion for economic development, public education, state parks and watershed enhancements. For more information on the Oregon Lottery visit www.oregonlottery.org.
