October 8, 2010 – Salem, Ore – Today in Salem, a 60-second visit into the Powerball®/Mega Millions® cash vault proved productive for three lucky Oregon Lottery players!
Heidi Biwer of Salem, Izzy Hillock of Central Point and Adam Steele of Wilsonville were drawn from over 12,000 entries for a chance to enter the cash vault for 60 seconds each to grab up to $1,500 in cash.
Here is the final tally for each of the contestants:
- Heidi Biwer - $951
- Izzy Hillock - $941
- Adam Steele - $854
Oregon Lottery® traveled throughout Oregon during the summer with the Powerball/Mega Millions truck to promote the jackpot games and give people a chance to enter the truck’s cash vault. The Powerball/Mega Millions truck includes an interior “cash vault” equipped with blowers to circulate the cash where the players each attempted to catch as much cash as possible in 60 seconds.
Since the Oregon Lottery began selling tickets on April 25, 1985, it has earned nearly $7 billion for economic development, public education, state parks and watershed enhancements. For more information on the Oregon Lottery visit
