Sales and Service with a Smile at Windmaster Market
Russ Gray, General Manager of Windmaster Market in Hood River, said his parents purchased this location in 1992. According to Tim Perry, their Field Sales Representative, Russ and his staff do an excellent job supporting and selling Lottery products. They know their customers very well and promote products they know will interest their customers. They also make sure jackpots amounts are prominently displayed and Scratch-its℠ are offered at the point of purchase. For example, if a customer is looking at the Scratch-it dispenser, the staff will let them know the payout percentage of a game or highlight a newer game, which usually leads to additional sales. When asked about the $20 Scratch-it game price point Russ said, “At first I was apprehensive about placing the ticket in our dispensers, but the ticket sales are going well so I am pleasantly surprised.” A great mix of Lottery products and friendly staff to promote them is a very successful combination. Make sure you offer all Lottery products in your location along with all Scratch-it ticket price points in order to meet the needs of your customers.
